Where can I apply Tallow Balm?

Tallow Balm can be applied anywhere on the body, including hands, face, around the eyes and lips.

What is the consistency of your Tallow Balm?

Our Tallow Balm feels like a regular cream without the toxic ingredients! It's spreadable, not greasy, and easy to use. A little goes a long way!

Is your Tallow Balm greasy?

It isn't! But because we do use real tallow and oil, there will be a slight oily feel to it. Our customers get used to it though and end up enjoying it! It feels as close to a regular cream as you can get without having to use any toxic ingredients putting your health at risk.

Can I have a reaction?

While this is not common, our product does contain organic almond oil. If you have a reaciton you should stop using the product immediately and contact a doctor for medical advice. 

What is the shelf life of your Tallow Balm?

Most conventional skincare products have a shelf life of basically forever. But since we only use natural organic ingredients, our Tallow Balm has a shelf-life of 9 months. Which is still plenty of time to use it all. Keep the jar sealed and away from heat. You can refrigerate it to extend the shelf life as well!

Why does your Tallow Balm vary in color, consistency, and scent?

Due to its all natural ingredients, our Tallow Balm can vary slightly from batch to batch in color, consistency, and scent. Just like coconut oil, tallow balm is more solid at lower temperatures and softer at higher temperatures. If your Tallow Balm gets so hot that it melts, it may be firmer when it re-solidifies, but it will still be perfectly usable and won't lose any of its effectiveness.

My Tallow Balm is not as smooth as I expected. Why?

Since it's a completely natural product, it varies from batch to batch. If your tallow balm is too firm, try rubbing the Tallow Balm vigorously between your hands to warm it up before applying it. If this is not a satisfactory solution for the particular jar you have, please contact us. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Why does my Tallow Balm have the scent of something other than essential oils?

Since we don't use toxic synthetic fragrances, naturally, you may detect a slight scent of tallow. This is completely normal as this is a completely natural, chemical-free product.

What if I get a reaction to the Tallow Balm?

Reactions to our Tallow Balm are rare, but it does contain almond oil so please be aware if you have a nut allergy. This is particularly true with the lips, which sometimes may seem drier when you first start using our product. But overtime, you may find that the product will help your skin from within, resulting in soft, smooth, healthy skin. If you have a serious reaction, discontinue use and contact a medical provider immediately.
